In 2013 Josie Benson was the Senior Youth Work leader at Devas Club for 3 years. Whilst there Josie contributed widely to the growth and development of the club & its youth activities as well as being the co founder of Devas juniors. In 2014, Josie’s fundraising for Devas led her to the depths of the Amazon jungle in Brazil where she ran one of the worlds toughest multi stage self supported foot races to raise money for Devas, running a marathon a day for 6days. She survived and came home as the winning female for 2014! Josie continued to fundraise for Devas, this time focusing on supporting Devas Juniors. In 2016 she competed in Grand2Grand, another multi stage race, covering over 170miles in just 6 days through the Grand canyon, Arizona.
Josie Bensons theatrical career has spanned over 20 years. She is an accomplished musical theatre actor, having performed in numerous West End shows such as ‘The Phantom of the Opera, Porgy & Bess, Carmen Jones, & Sweeney Todd. More recently she took over from Mica Paris as ‘Miss Sherman’ in Fame in the UK & international No.1 tour. Now as a successful leader within the fitness industry & having run over 41 marathons she is honoured to be on the board of trustees for Devas.
